Mr. Wakefield joins Davenport Search Partners with over 30 years of industry experience, bringing deep expertise with a variety of complex technologies to serve clients across the Defense, Consumer Products/Services, Industrial and Technology sectors. Most recently Mr. Wakefield spent 4 years within the defense sector, performing weapons analysis for the U.S. Army in Afghanistan as well as training Iraqi scientists at forensic laboratories throughout Iraq. He has spent 15 years working within the public sector as laboratory director and ballistics expert with the Utah Department of Public Safety. Prior to that Mr. Wakefield spent 10  years in private industry as an analytical chemist at laboratories in California and Utah.

He focuses on the recruitment of senior-level executives across a wide variety of functions and is committed to closely partnering with clients to address their leadership needs and developing impactful business relationships with a wide variety of clients, from start-up to Fortune 500, Venture Capital and Private Equity partners. His comments and interviews have appeared in a wide variety of respected journals and publications as well.

Mr. Wakefield completed his degree in Microbiology and Chemistry at Weber State University and is an AFTE Certified Firearms Examiner and an ASCLD-LAB 17025 certified laboratory assessor.
